Truckers try to burn alive driver

 JOWAI: Phramer Police arrested two truckers for allegedly trying to burn alive a fellow driver on Tuesday night.

Sources informed that Kasim Uddin and Sajon Dutta tried to kill one Salim Lyngdoh- another trucker driver.

“They crossed me and pulled me out of my truck and hit me with a lever and rench then poured kerosene and lighted to burnt me alive”, Lyngdoh said adding that he luckily got inside the truck and fled away.

He informed that both the truckers followed and overpowered him again at Ladsohkymphor.“They crossed me again on reaching Tuber village and while they tried to pull me out of my truck I escaped to a nearby tea stall

Some youths who were present inside the tea stall helped Lyngdoh and apprehended all three persons who chased him but one of them fled away. Later, they were handed over to Village Defense Party (VDP) who informed the police.Both the accused were beaten up by the mob.
