BODH GAYA: Over two lakh Buddhist devotees from across the world listened to the Dalai lama, the Tibetan spiritual leader, giving Kalachakra teachings on Lord Buddha for the second day on Monday.

The Dalai Lama urged the devotees, who attended the lectures braving inclement weather and chill, to follow the path of Buddha for world peace. Famous Hollywood celebrity Richard Gere, a keen follower of Buddhism, was present during the inaugural proceedings on Sunday. Devotees from Dharmashala from Himachal Pradesh performed folk dances on the occasion. They also visited and offered prayers at the famous Mahabodhi temple here.

Tight security arrangements have been made for the puja with deployment of 2000 odd security personnel for the safety and security of the pilgrims. (PTI)
