New Delhi: Rockstar Ranbir Kapoor and Telugu star Ileana D’Cruz are believed to have delivered such an emotional performance in Anurag Basu’s much-awaited Barfee that it left many crew members teary-eyed.
If a source from the sets is to be believed, “certain emotional scenes between Ranbir and Ileana were so intense and beautifully performed that they left many of us and other members of the crew in tears”.
“We would all end up not engaging in too much conversation with each other even after the scene would be completed as we would need some quiet alone time to get out of that emotional zone,” added the production insider.
Ileana is a popular name in the southern industry with films like Pokiri, Jalsa and Kick. Barfee also features Priyanka Chopra.
The film promises to be a powerhouse of strong performances with Ranbir playing a deaf and dumb character, Ileana’s character of a translator that spans about 50 years and Priyanka playing the role of an autistic girl.
