HNYF seizes 200 l of liquor in Nongpoh

 NONGPOH: The Hynniew Trep Youth Federation (HNYF) Nongpoh circle recently seized more than 200 litres of IMFL from different shops involved in selling liquor illegally at Nongpoh.

HNYF president Shamborlang Nongkling S. Nongkling while speaking to the media, said that the Front had warned the liquor shops not to sell liquor on the 31 December to thwart any untoward incident but some of the liquor sellers went against this warning after which the members caught them and seized the illegal liquor.

The Front hasdestroyed all the liquor that had been seized and also punished those who were involve in selling illegal liquor and warned them if they continues to do in the future the Front would take serious action.

In this regard, the Front has urged he Excise department to take initiative in controlling the sale of liquor in Nongpoh town.
