KOHIMA: The NSCN(Khaplang) has accused the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur Hushili Sema of diverting funds in connivance with rival GPRN/NSCN (Khole-Kitovi) group.

In a release issued by NSCN(K) ‘Ministry of Information and Publicity(MIP)’, the outfit stated that it had taken strong exception to ‘arbitrary act of injustice’ committed by the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, against the NSCN(K).

It alleged that the relief fund sanctioned and released to the NSCN(K) against the demolition of its Vihokhu camp in 2008 through the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, had been usurped by the DC herself in connivance with the Khehoi group.

It further said the DC had ‘exacted a hefty percentage’ for herself after which the remaining funds were handed over to the Khehoi camp (GPRN/NSCN-Khole-Kitovi) through her younger brother who is a ‘Joint Secty Finance, Khehoi camp.

The release maintained that there was no ‘doubt or confusion’ over the intended beneficiary of the relief grant since the demolished Vihokhu camp had been functioning under the purview of NSCN(K) headed by SS Khaplang.

It further claimed that to avoid any misunderstanding, the NSCN(K) had on several occasions apprised the Deputy Commissioner ahead of disbursement of grant. However, the DC on her own volition transferred the grant to Khehoi Camp.

The outfit cautioned that the DC would be held solely responsible for ‘any consequences that may arise’ while adding that it would pursue the matter in all aspects as ‘anti-Naga and anti-NSCN act’, the release said. (UNI)
