SHILLONG: On Wednesday , troops of BSF deployed in West Garo Hills district apprehended one hard core KLO cadre near BP No. 1112/MP, while he was trying to infiltrate into India.
The individual is identified as SS Lt Pushma Das alias Tupan Patwari alias Pulas Barman (33). 3 rounds of 7.62 live ammunition and a mobile set were recovered from his possession.
During preliminary questioning it was revealed that the individual had joined the outfit in 1997 and underwent 3 months training at ULFA Camp in Kali Khola in Bhutan.
Since then he remained in Bangladesh in close association with KLO Chief Jeevan Singh and has been involved in many cross border movement between India and Bangladesh.
