German legend Paul Breitner praises city boys

Players from Shillong Lajong FC Academy– Imliakum Longkumer, Founder Passah and Malsawmkima, who have been selected by the European football club Bayern Munich’s Junior Team football academy coaches to train with the academy in Germany, pose for a photograph. In 2010, six players were selected from India to attend a training camp in Munich under FC Bayern. Four of the boys (Ram Chettri, Suman Rai, Donborlang Nongkynrih, Jacob Lalrawngbawla) were from SLFC.

FC Bayern’s chief scout Hermann Hummels was reported to be very impressed while German legend Paul Breitner was all praise for these boys, calling them “incredibly talented and motivated”.
