SHILLONG: A young scientist from the State Dr Jeremy Dkhar has been awarded with the prestigious ‘Young Scientist Award’ at the 99th Indian Science Congress held recently at Bhubaneswar.

Dr Dkhar received the award from the former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The young scientist receives the award for his paper “Waterlilies (Nymphaea) of India revisited: a comprehensive reappraisal of both morphological and molecular data”.

Dr Dkhar is a son of David Giri Massar and Kerlinda Dkhar, Mawlai Iewrynghep.
