SHILLONG: Mednipur Choto Boruah, Sri Sri Nigamananda Ashram Math, is conducting the 29th Sri Sri Nigamananda Saraswati Bhakta Sammellani o Dikha Daan at Hindu Mission, Lower Mawprem from February 4-7. On this occasion, a religious procession will be taken out, besides a meeting of devotees, Naam Sankirtan and hymns and prayers will be organized.
Nigamananda Saraswati started Sri Sri Nigamananda Ashram Math with only 11 disciples in 1321(Bangla). He also started a magazine Arya Darpan in 1318 (Bangla) which is presently 104 years old. His disciple strength presently in India and Bangladesh is 11lakh. His disciples will also observe the Utsav all over the country.
On February 7, his disciple Swami Chidananda Saraswati Maharaj’s birth anniversary will be observed. On this occasion a religious function will also be organized and on the day from 8am to 11am initiation will be given by Head Monk Swami Birajananda Saraswati of Sri Sri Nigamananda Ashram Math.
