KOHIMA: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, the star campaigner for Naga Peoples Front (NPF), has questioned whether there was any political party that has declared to support the cause of the Nagas in its election manifesto.
Addressing an election rally in Tamei sub-division under Tamenglong district of Manipur on Friday, Mr. Rio stressed that NPF was the only platform through which the Nagas’ voice could be heard. He assured the people that NPF would work relentlessly for the integration of Nagas. He, however, said the NPF was not against any party or community.
Even the 16-point agreement, to which the Centre was a signatory, promised in clause 13 the integration of Naga areas, he informed. The NPF has fielded twelve candidates for the January 28 elections. (UNI)
