Seng Kur Thabah meet

The Seng Kur Thabah (SKT) will hold the general meeting on February 4 at U Soso Tham Auditorium (State Central Library) at 11am. The SKT will also give the Literary Award to those students who passed the SSLC Examination 2011 with distinction marks.

Award

The President of India approved the award of prestigious Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic Day to Dr LEK Marbaniang, Sr. Medical and Health Officer and Naib Subedar Lawansuk Syiemlieh who are posted in the Civil Defence and Home Guards, Central Training Institute, Mawdiangdiang.

Saraswati Puja

The Lumparing Meghdoot Club established in 1987 will be commemorating its silver jubilee celebration of Saraswati Puja on Saturday at Lumparing Nepali School premises.

 

Coin mela

In view of the acute shortage of coins faced by Shillongites, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched an initiative to make available coins of various denominations. A Mela is being organized today at MTC Building, Jail Road at 10am which will be supervised by Jatin Rawal, Deputy General Manager, RBI, Guwahati. Mela will continue till the stock lasts.
