‘The Aberrant’ crowned Meghalaya Icon III

SHILLONG:For the third time consecutively, the Red Ribbon Superstar Campaign-Meghalaya Icon III ended with a loud cheer from a huge crowd who witnessed a vibrant participation of young people who showcased their talents in spreading the message of HIV/AIDS in one common language which is ‘Music’.

The Meghalaya Icon III was conducted by the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society (MACS) with an aim to spread awareness and sensitize the public and more so the youth at large on HIV/AIDS and the production of a high quality event.

‘The Aberrant’, a combination of five bands exceeded the other nine bands in performance-wise and managed to impress the judges with their energetic and vigorous show. They were crowned ‘Meghalaya Icon III’ and awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh at a Grand Finale held at Laban Sports Club ground here on Tuesday.
