A ciy girl, Yvonne Angel Lyngdoh Mawphlang, an MSc student with major in Horticulture (Vegetable Sciences), bagged three gold medals from the University of Horticultural Sciences at Bagalkot, Karnataka recently for her excellence in the field of Horticulture.

Yvonne bagged the first Gold Medal for securing the topmost position in her stream with an aggregate of 92.40 percent. She was also rewarded with the ‘Late Dr. Gangadhar S Kori of Bijapur Gold Medal’ for having secured the highest overall grade point average and first rank from among the Master of Science (Horticulture) graduates during the academic year 2010 – 11.

Meanwhile, the third gold medal was the ‘Dr. K. Shama Bhat Memorial Gold Medal’ also pertaining to the category was awarded to her for the second gold medal.

She is the eldest daughter of Suzannah Lyngdoh of Wahdienglieng (Lower Risa Colony).
