NONGSTOIN: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Nongstoin Circle has called off its proposed strike in connection with the demand for upgradation of Nongstoin 100- bedded Civil Hospital after the government recently appointed two more doctors at Nongstoin Hospital.

However, president KSU Nongstoin circle John Milton Wahlang told this scribeon Thursday that only two specialist doctors is not enough to deliver good service to the 100- bedded hospital as lots of patients from the rural visit the hospital daily.

He expressed hope that the Government would soon sanctioned more doctors and also provide all heath care facilities to the hospital.
