The ACS besides monitoring the attendance of the employees would also enhance the security of the Secretariat as people till date has an easy access to one of the most important government offices.

Once the system becomes operational, the employees of the Secretariat will have to punch their cards at the time of entry as well as at the time of exit from the Secretariat.

According to Naik, presently the department is printing the punching cards which would be provided to the employees, media persons and visitors to the secretariat.
