Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi was honoured today with its ‘Brave Heart Award’ by the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai.

The Hospital authorities honoured Gogoi, who had successfully undergone three complicated heart surgeries in the Institute in August 2010, for being an inspiration for other heart patients, official sources said here.

Thanking the hospital for giving him the award at a function in Mumbai, the chief minister said, the “Institute’s doctors were not only physicians but humanists extending their service to patients.”

The hospital also honours its other heart patients with the ‘Brave Heart Award’, the sources added. (PTI)
