SHILLONG: Helping Hands defeated Youth Club by four wickets and Rilbong defeated MAtrisangha by 17 runs in the Second Division Shillong Cricket League at the Cricket Ground, Polo on Sunday.
In the first match, Youth Club won the toss and elected to bat first. The batters did not fare well though and the side was bundled out for 89 in 17.3 overs. Bichtra scored 22 while Akash took three wickets for his side.
In reply, Helping Hands cruised to the target in 19.1 overs losing six wickets. Arjun scored 35 runs in 45 balls while Kanchan took three wickets for 18 runs.
In the second match, Rilbong SC won the toss and elected to bat scoring 113 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Arpan scored 29 of 26 balls while Subir took two wickets for 18 runs. In reply, Matrisangha could manage a paltry 96 runs in 15.1 overs. Kaushik scored 24 runs in 18 balls while Pukur took three wickets for 10 runs.
Nongmynsong will play Desari while Clique United will take on Victoria on Monday.
