This Sumo stand at Keating Road has been operating for several years. Despite the Sumo and tourist taxi stand being shifted to Anjalee Parking Lot and the Polo Parking yard, this stand has remained there. Middlemen (dalals) are found waiting for customers (passengers) at Police Bazar Point and when they spot a potential ‘victim’ they immediately pounce on the helpless passenger and pulled him to the Sumo stand. This scribe witnessed such an incident on Monday, where the passenger had to jostle with the middlemen who was pulling his luggage from his hands.
