SHILLONG: A dead body of a new born baby was found in an airbag from a jungle near Balughat, West Garo Hills on February 4 at 5pm. One Mosten Arengh has lodged a complaint at Kalaichar Outpost in this regard. The cadaver was sent to CH Tura for postmortem.

Meanwhile, one unidentified male body with multiple injury marks was recovered from a jungle at Pattargittim, South Garo Hills on February 4. The deceased is suspected to have been murdered by unknown miscreants. The cadaver was sent to CH Williamnagar for post mortem.

In another incident, one L Sangma, General Secretary, Nangalbibra Dobu Coal Truck Operators Association lodged a complaint with Williamnagar PS on February 4 that three persons Arun N Marak, Starson N Sangma and Same Marak are extorting money at the rate of Rs300 to Rs500 from each coal truck since January 31 at Dobu, East Garo Hills in the name of All Garo Hills Coal Trucks Drivers Association.
