BBCC for removal of BMB chairman

SHILLONG: The President of Baghmara Block Congress Committee (BBCC), Parkin Arengh on behalf of the Congress party men has requested the Chief Minister to remove Brenard D Sangma from Chairmanship of Baghmara Municipal Board (BMB) in the interest of the Congress Party and civic citizens of Baghmara Town .

In his letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Arengh said that he has been directed by the Congress party men in the BBCC to report the matter for consideration and necessary action following the resignation of 7 commissioners of BMB citing reason of losing all faith in the chairmanship of BD Sangma. The Board has 12 commissioners. Out of the remaining 5 commissioners, 4 commissioners of BMB have submitted petition to to remove BD Sangma.
