East Zone captain Wriddhiman Saha scores fine 170
Indore: East Zone defeated Central Zone by an innings and 20 runs at the Holkar stadium here Tuesday for their maiden Duleep Trophy crown.
The match got over before tea on the third day after Central Zone were bowled out for 217 in their second innings, 20 short to make their opponents bat again. East Zone’s fast bowler Ashok Dinda took three wickets while medium pacer Shami Ahmed picked up his consecutive four-wicket haul of the match.
In response to Central Zone’s first innings score of 133, East Zone made 370 with captain Wriddhiman Saha making a fine 170. (IANS)
