Traffic jam claims another woman

 JOWAI: Traffic jam along the National highway NH-44 in Jaintia Hills district has claimed another woman’s live. The victim — Phrai Bang (45) of Tuber Shohshrieh village, who was pregnant, died on her way to hospital on Monday night. According to the village secretary T. Shylla, relatives took the woman in a vehicle at 8pm and they got stuck up at Hynniawmer (near the weighbridge of the Transport Department) from 8.30 pm to 1.30am due to heavy traffic jam. The woman died at round 12.30am, he added. A similar incident took place on December 30 last year when a woman from Tuberkmai shnong died on the way to hospital after giving birth to a girl child.
