SHILLONG: The family members of one, Anthony Hynniewta (22) of Mawlai Iewrynghep who died the very next day after he was assaulted recently, has filed a complaint with the Mawlai Police Station here on Wednesday following the assault case on January 1.

The family believes that the death of their son could be due to the assault as he was complaining of having some stomach problem which led to his death the very next day. “In connection with this, the family has alleged one Arnes Dkhar (25) from the same locality of assaulting Hynniewta but no witnesses were produced creating difficulties for the police to track down the murderer without solid evident”, a police official said.

Meanwhile, the police informed that investigation is still going on.
