Order

The Additional District Magistrate, West Khasi Hills District has promulgated an Order under Section under 144 CrPC prohibiting any organization or any persons to stop any coal laden truck plying through the Shallang-Riangdo-Athiabari Road and other roads at Nongstoin area which is likely to obstruct free movement of vehicular traffic, breakdown of law and order and causing disturbance of public peace and tranquility. This order comes into immediate effect and shall remain in force until further orders.

Wanted

The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills has informed that one Biswajit Debnath of Chakmaghat, West Tripura is wanted in connection with Madanriting PS Case No. 114(11)2011 U/S 279/427/304(A) IPC. All concerned are requested to immediately inform in the Phone No. 0364-2222277/0364-2225675 (Fax) on having any knowledge on the whereabouts of the accused. The identity of the informant will be kept confidential.

Distribution

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in collaboration with Meghalaya Youth Foundation and the Inner Wheel Club, Shillong will be conducting a “Distribution of Potato Seeds of 5000 kgs (5 tonnes) to 50 farmers, Cabbage Seeds to 150 farmers and Tomato Seeds to 150 Farmers, Carrot Seeds along with fertilizers” Programme on the Friday from 11:00 am onwards at Mawpyrshong Village, East Khasi Hills District.
