ONGC Assam asset registers record gas sales
Nazira (Assam): ON-GC’s Assam Asset has registered the highest ever quarterly gas sales in a decade and achieved all its targets during the quarter ended December 31, 2011. The asset achieved the oil production target at 100.1 per cent (0.3031 MMT) against the planned figure of 0.3028 MMT on the last day of the quarter, a press release issued by the company said. On the gas production front, the asses improved its earlier performance by achieving a production level of 123.9 MMSCM against the planned 119.3 MMSCM, it added. The company’s Assam asset also registered 8-10 per cent enhancement in asset gas sales over previous quarters and touched the highest daily gas sales figure of 761,457 LSCMD on November 22, 2011, achieving the highest ever quarterly gas sales figure of 65.3 MMSCM since 2001-02, it said. Nagaland SBI to join strike
Kohima: All the branches of the State Bank Of India (SBI) in Nagaland will join the February 28 nation-wide general strike called by all major Central Trade Unions. In a press note issued by Nagaland branch of National Confederation of Bank Employees (NCBE) General Secretary A Lolly Moses told UNI all SBI branches in the state would join the nation-wide strike on February 28. The strike has been called with the demand to take concrete measures to contain price rise, open up avenues for employment and fill up all vacant positions of Government jobs etc. (UNI)
