JOWAI: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Khliehriat and Narpuh Circle, Jaintia Hills, have jointly called for a two-day night road blockade on February 29 and March 1 from 6 pm till 6 am.
The KSU informed that the decision to call for the night road blockades was taken on Saturday in protest again the State Government’s failure to repair the section of National Highway 44 between Khliehriat and Malidor, despite an assurance to do so.
This is the second time that the KSU has called for a night road blockade in Khliehriat Sub-Division.
Earlier, the KSU had suspended their proposed night road blockade after the government assured to immediately repair the road.
