Imphal: Last minute preparations are on for counting of votes on March 6 for the tenth Manipur Assembly elections, held on January 28.

In this election a total of 279 candidates were in the fray for 60 Assembly seats. Fourteen women candidates were in the fray. As many as 17,40,576 voters, including 8,82,236 women, exercised their voting right exceeding the number of male voters. The total of male voters was 8,58,340. (UNI)
