London: Dresses and jewelry that once belonged to the singer Whitney Houston are to be sold as part of a Hollywood Legends auction.

A pair of earrings Houston wore in The Bodyguard opposite Kevin Costner in 1992, is among several items that once belonged to the singer which are to be sold by Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills, reported Contactmusic.

Other items include a black velvet dress owned by the ‘I Will Always Love You’ singer and 15 other outfits worn by the pop legend. Julien’s Auctions owner Darren Julien has revealed over 50 friends, family and former colleagues have contacted his office offering to sell items since her tragic death at the age of just 48 in February.

“This is something that commonly happens after somebody passes… especially someone with the status of Whitney Houston. Her items can increase 10, 20 even 30 times compared to their previous value prior to her death. These items become part of history really,” he said. (PTI)
