Bomb explodes at candidate’s house

Imphal: Unidentified militants exploded a powerful bomb at the house of a Congress candidate in Imphal West district of Manipur, the police said on Monday.

Sources said the militants threw the bomb at around 10.30 pm on Sunday at RK Anand’s house at Naoriya Pakhang Lakpa area. Anand who is contesting from Naoriya Pakhang Lakpa assembly constituency and his family members were present in the house at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, coordination committee (CORCOM) of seven insurgents have claimed the responsibility for the attack. (PTI)
