SHILLONG: Around twenty three farmers from across North Eastern Region were felicitated by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region for their path breaking innovations at ICAR complex on Monday. Many farmers from various Northeastern states were rewarded by the ICAR on occasion of ‘Farmers’ Innovation Day’ at Umiam (Barapani) on Monday. Some of the farmers narrated their stories as well as their innovative ideas in protecting their livestock, poultry and fishes which had come in handy and received the recognition of ICAR.
