SHILLONG: The SBI ATM users had a harrowing time as many of them remained non-functional in the parts of the city. Many customers who went to the SBI ATMs located in SBI Main Branch, Meghalaya Secretariat, Laitumkhrah Beat House, Jhalupara complained that they were unable to withdraw money.

A customer from Laitumkhrah said that he tried to use this ATM for the last few days but of no avail. He said the moment he enters his details after swiping the ATM card in the machine the screen turns blue in color and thereby displays no information.

Others have said that since this is the beginning of the month, withdrawal of salary through the ATMs had eased the problem of going to the banks. But now they have to approach the bank directly and stand in long queues for cash, since they have no other choice. Customers of all these ATMs said that they were unable to withdraw cash from them.

Many ATM customers on Wednesday evening have a tough time dealing the ATMs as they have to return frustrated due to the non-functioning of these machines. (End)
