SHILLONG: Coming down heavily on Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma for his ‘unilateral decision’ to create three new districts in the State, UDP, one of allies of Congress-led Meghalaya United Alliance government, has decided to issue a 48-hour deadline to the Government to announce creation of two new districts in Khasi Hills.

Informing this here on Monday, UDP’s working president Paul Lyngdoh told The Shillong Times that the party took this decision in an emergency meeting held here on Monday. He said the party would submit a representation to Dr Sangma on Tuesday in this regard.
