NONGSTOIN: The three- day deadline given to the government to announce one district within West Khasi Hills district by four NGOs – FKJGP, WYF, KSU and WKHSU ended on Tuesday.

The NGOs are determined to get their demand fulfilled and are decided to organise agitational programmes if by chance the government fails to look into their demand.

Sources informed that the Mairang Assembly Constituency Distinct Demand Committee will chalk out future course of action in connection to their demand to upgrade the Mairang Civil sub division into a full-fledged district level.
