Fly ash menace

 SHILLONG: The Khasi Student Union (KSU) Environment Protection Cell has asked the Government to immediately prohibit the menace of dumping fly ash along the road side of the national highway 40 and 44.

In a memorandum submitted to the Forest and Environment minister Prestone Tynsong recently,the KSU environment protection cell said that the disposal of fly ash would cause serious harmful affect to humans and is even hazardous to environment.
