Assam sanctions ex-gratia for Langpih victims

 NONGSTOIN: The Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup district of Assam has sanctioned a sum of Rs 3 lakh each to the kith and kin of the four people who died in the Assam police firing at Langpih on May 14, 2010.

The four people who died in the police firing were Colimbus Hujan, Denis Nongsiej, Ekros Rani and Charles Lyngkhoi.

Sarcastically, the order recorded the addresses of the four deceased persons under Kamrup district of Assam.
