Training for police

 SHILLONG: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner West Khasi Hills, District Administration in collaboration with the Deputy Controller ,Civil Defence ,Shillong organized an intensive six days’ training programme for police personnel of 4th MLP Battalion from the 12th -17th March.

The objective of the training was to sensitize the Police force on various aspect of disaster management. The programme also emphasized on the role and responsibility of police personnel which included basic course of collapsed Structure Search & Rescue, First Aid ( MFR), Mock Drill Operation. The valedictory function was graced by the ADPO, Jonathan Mawthoh . He stressed on the importance of police personnel participation in activities relating to Disaster management. He urged all the trainees to respond effectively in disaster situations especially during emergencies and also to help in spreading awareness.
