Several hurt in incident

 SHILLONG: The 108 Emergency Response Centre received a call on Sunday last informing about an incident wherein many students of Riverside Academy School at Bajengdoba under Resubelpara Block, East Garo Hills sustained injuries when the rope supporting the bridge snapped off due to heavy weight while they were crossing the river.

The 108 ESA based at Rari, Resubelpara and Tura admitted Silchi Marak, Mamuni Marak, Monica Nath, Chimgsme G Momin , Crikilya Momin, Zihiani Chaemai, Sanina Marak, Bansila Sangma, Chasame Sangma , Buambuilu Pamai , Bekshit Sangma , Silsime Sangma, Kakoli Nath, Amglima, Semgmachi Sangma, Nehana Sangma and Sudabadi Narzeri o Seven Sister Hospital in Goalpara, Assam. Ripamchi Marak (16/female) was admitted to Solace Hospital, Goalpara, Assam. Meanwhile, a Maruti Local Taxi went off the road and overturned at 101 Area, 3rd Mile in Upper Shillong on Sunday. The driver of the local taxi and a passenger sustained injures during the incident while the vehicle was traveling towards Shillong. The 108 ESA based at Shillong Civil Hospital admitted the injured to Civil Hospital.
