Lucknow: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday taught ministers of Akhilesh Yadav council the lesson of discipline and asked them to be ‘sensitive’ towards the problems of the people who have given them a big mandate in the assembly elections.
“You all should not be involved in any such incident which tarnishes the image of the party and failing short to the aspiration of the masses,” he said while addressing the state ministers in presence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav at the party office here.
In his about 2-and-a-half hour long deliberation, Mr Yadav said that the ministers, along with every party worker, should see that the people of the state should not ‘regret’ their decision to vote for the SP in the assembly elections.
The SP supremo also directed the party ministers to be wary of the media and should only give statements which would enhance the image of the party. Besides, should help the party to achieve its goal in fulfilling the promises made during the elections.
However, during the meeting the ministers raised the matter of delay in the change of the officials in their departments and districts.
The meeting was convened after firing by the supporters of state minister Mahboob Ali was reported from Amroha leading to a major traffic jam on NH -24 on March 18 last.
The ministers, after listening to the pep talk of Mulayam, rushed back to their offices and refused to oblige the mediapersons particularly the electronic news channels. (UNI)
