Adolf Lu Hitler denied ticket

SHILLONG: “Purno A Sangma will be our chief ministerial candidate even if he does not contest election,” said NCP leader Conrad K Sangma.
Conrad said this on Tuesday while announcing the second list of candidates for the upcoming State Assembly election due in 2013.
The names five candidates were approved by the party high command in New Delhi yesterday, he said.
As per the list announced on Tuesday, the party has decided not to field Rangsakona legislator Adolf Lu Hitler R Marak this time and in his place the party will put up GHADC member Dipul R Marak.
According to Conrad, the party decided not to allot ticket to Adolf “since he is still under suspension and is no longer part of the party”.
The other names announced on Tuesday were GHADC member Boston K. Marak (Salmanpara in West Garo Hills), Ringnon Marak (Raksamgre in West Garo Hills), DP Iangjuh (Mawsynram in East Khasi Hills) and S Sohtun (Jirang in Ri Bhoi).
According to sources, the sitting NCP legislator from Rangsakona is contemplating to contest from Bajengdoba on a Congress ticket against NCP’s John Manner Marak.
In turn, the Congress would field Zenith M. Sangma, former legislator and younger brother of chief minister Dr Mukul Sangma, from Rangsakona, sources added.
It may be mentioned that the NCP announced the first list of 14 candidates on Saturday.
