Musical evening
The All India Radio, Shillong will host a musical evening, “A tribute to Dr Bhupen Hazarika’ at U Soso Tham auditorium on Saturday at 4 pm. Notes Assamese singers Pulak Banerjee, Samar Hazarika, Dr Anima Choudhury and Anju Devi will perform in the programme.
Road mishaps
One Purnne Syngkli, a pedestrian, sustained injuries when he was hit by a vehicle near the MVI Gate at 17th Mile, Byrnihat on March 20. Syngkli was admitted to to Byrnihat PHC. Meanwhile, two persones were injured when a goods laden truck overturned near Mynkre under Khliehrait Block, Jaintia Hills recently.
