KSU donates exercise books

NONGSTOIN: The Mawthad-raishan unit of Khasi Students’ Union on Friday distributed exercise books among the students of six schools — Lawrynjam LP school, RCLP School, Rngikseh, Hina Memorial LP&UP School, Rngikseh, Skelin Memorial LP and UP School, Mawsadang, Lumjingshai LP&UP School, Rngikseh and Govt. LP school, Rngikseh.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, former MLA from Mairang Boldness L Nongum appreciated the initiatives taken by the KSU unit. He urged the organization to continue their good work towards the betterment and welfare of the society.

Others who spoke on the occasion include Damian Marshiangbai, president KSU’s Mawthadraishan unit and Headman of Rngikseh.

Clean Politics Campaign: With a year’s time left for the next Assembly elections, the Clean Politics Campaign has gained momentum in the district.

Nongkrem legislator Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit, the crusader of clean politics campaign, will address a rally at Nongstoin on April 2. The venue of the meeting is the Market complex Tiehjyrsieh, New Nongstoin.

Syiem of Hima Nongstoin, Bishop Victor Lyngdoh and other Priest will also spoke on the occasion.
