NONGPOH: It was a happy moment and memorable day in the history of the Umterlen village in Ri-Bhoi District and the Nongtluh Lower Primary school as Chief Adviser to the State Government and the MLA of the Nongpoh Constituency Dr. D.D Lapang on Tuesday inaugurated the long waited new school building of the Nongtluh school which was constructed under the SSA and BRGF scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. D.D Lapang said that ‘Education’ is necessary for all children, parents must understand the value of education and they should encourage their children to go to school.
He therefore, encouraged the village elders and the school management to render their valuable service in providing quality education for the children of the village. He pointed out that where there is a will there is a way to a man who has a vision and a determination to do something good for the betterment of the community.
