SHILLONG: Amidst controversies from a section of the youth, people of Malki have once again elected HP Offlyn Dohling as their new Rangbah Shnong in a public meeting held at Malki Ground here on Saturday.

After a patient hearing, the public expressed satisfaction and with one voice agreed to unanimously elect HP Offlyn Dohling as the new Rangbah Shnong of Malki.

Further, the meeting also took a decision to adopt the Constitution for the effective functioning of the Dorbar Shnong Malki.

The Executive Committee of the Dorbar Shnong also vowed to take necessary action on all matters pertaining to the interest of the public of Malki as a whole. Meanwhile, the Sub Committee constituted specifically for the conduct of Election of the Rangbah Shnong Malki stands dissolved on this day with the formation of a new Dorbar Shnong.

It may be mentioned that Malki locality has been running without a Rangbah Shnong or a Dorbar Shnong for the past 5 months now as it had been dissolved following pressures from the section of the youth of the locality on the irregularities of the Dorbar Shnong.
