AHMEDABAD: Launching a veiled attack at the Centre, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that despite “hurdles” his government was moving ahead with its comprehensive single-point agenda of development.

“Gujarat is blessed by ‘Matra Shakti’, which serves as a shield for fast pace development of the state, despite all odds,” Modi said, hailing women for their participation in development of the state.

He was addressing a state-level convention for women. Targeting the Centre, the chief minister said, “You have seen that those opposed to Gujarat are creating hurdles at every steps in development of the state. But I assure you that Gujarat government is committed to the development of people of the state”.

Modi said anganwadi workers despite their weak economic background were performing a good job.(PTI)
