SHILLONG: The UDP has sought a clarification from Mairang legislator Metbah Lyngdoh over his ‘reported’ move to join Congress.
“We have a sought a clarification from the legislator. In fact, he (Lyngdoh) has expressed his ignorance about the report,” UDP Working President Bindo M Lanong said on Tuesday.
Lanong also informed that Lyngdoh has assured that he would soon convene a meeting of his supporters to make his stand clear on the issue.
Earlier, it was reported that the Mairang legislator is all set to join Congress.
It was also reported that Lyngdoh held a meeting with his supporters to convey his intention to join Congress on March 24.
