Blood Donation
The 67th Bn CRPF has undertaken humanitarian work by organizing a blood donation camp at unit HQr Polo Ground Shillong on Wednesday. The camp was organized in co-operation with the Regional Blood Bank, Pasteur Institute Shillong. Altogether 25 personnel donated blood besides top ranking officials.
Year of the Youth
The office of the district sprots officer, East Khasi Hills will conduct a Boat Rowing, Water Polo and Swimming competition in connection with the Year of the Youth 2012 at Umsyiem, Wah Umngot and Dawki on April 21. Interested participants are to submit their names to secretary of Raij Mukertilla Boating and Rowing Organisation, BC Manner or to the office of the district sports officer by April 20.
Workshop on IBDLP
As part of the Basin development week, the district administration of Jaintia Hills will organize a one day workshop cum seminar on Integrated Basin Development and Livelihood Programme (IBDLP) on April 5 at 11am at Nan Kachari, Jowai to highlight the various stakeholders on the objective of the mission.
Road Safety Week
The transport department will observe the Road Safety Week from April 9-13 with the help and assistance of the business houses, commercial establishments, government departments, educational institutions and individuals besides the traffic experts drawn from the police department.
Legal Awareness
The Meghalaya state commission for women organized a legal awareness programme in collaboration with the National Commission for women and AMATSARA, a social initiate on Jowai. The next leg of this initiative will take place on April 5 at the Circuit House, Nongpoh.
