SHILLONG: The music school to operate initially from from Williamson Sangma Museum Complex is expected to be inaugurated in May.

Deputy Chief Minister and in charge Arts and Culture Bindo M Lanong on Saturday said the work for the proposed school is going and it can begin in the month of May.

“The project is going on and we can start the school most probably in May,” Lanong said here on Saturday.

In February, the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma had inspected the Williamson Sangma Museum Complex from where the music school will operate and stated that the school will start functioning from April.

The Government came up with the idea of a music school since the state has a lot of untapped talents in the field of music.
