Achievement

National Award winner Semeri Alva B Sangma has been conferred PhD by the North Eastern Hill University for her research in ‘Rites of passage in the Oral Garo literature’.Alva worked under the supervision of Dr Sujata Gurudev for her thesis. She is the daughter of G R Marak and P B Sangma.
