Low turnout at JNSC

 SHILLONG: The usually bustling JN Stadium had a poor turnout for Shillong Lajong’s encounter with Prayag United on Sunday.

The Reds’ poor run of late has contributed to the sharp dip in the number of spectators who turned out in huge numbers to support the hosts in the earlier contests. The usually packed open gallery area, which consists of the main chunk of the seats, wore a vacant look with only around a few hundred tickets sold. However, the VIP stand and the covered gallery were almost full.

Lajong’s loss to Sporting in the last home game and the recent drub against Mohun Bagan seem to have majorly contributed to the comparitively scarce turnout.
