 NONGSTOIN: On Sunday night house of one Serila Marthong of Pyndengrei Nongstoin was on fire. However, no one was injured in the incident.

Serila Marthong told this scribe on Monday that the cause of the fire was due to the carelessness of her children who did not put off the candle before going to sleep.

Serila also told that the total loss incurred is roughly estimated at around 12 lakhs including all the properties present in the house.

Meanwhile the Khasi Student Union (KSU) Nongstoin circle led by John Milton President and Secretary Rishot Kharbani visited the victims on Monday morning and donated cash in order to buy clothes and utensils.
